Seeking Employment?

1st Year Employee Requirements:

Must be at least 15 years old.

Must be available to work all three holiday weekends.

Must be available to work the majority of scheduled shifts for the last two weeks of the season when established employees typically leave for college.

We consider non-members for positions but if there are limited openings, we give preference to current patrons.

Interviews begin in May and the facility is staffed by the weekend before Memorial Day.

To be considered for Lifeguarding, applicant must have completed their training course or be enrolled in one that concludes before Memorial Day Weekend.
Lifeguards also require a Waterfront certification that is offered at our facility the weekend before Memorial Day.
Certifications can be obtained through the red cross at most indoor swim facilities (Rowan, GCIT, YMCA, Riverwinds, Jersey Wahoos)

Lifeguard/ CPR Recertification: STAFF ONLY

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A RECERTIFICATION. MUST HAVE A CURRENT CERT OR ONE THAT HAS EXPIRED IN MAY.
When: May 20th, 2023
Time: Registration 11am, Class Start Time 12pm (end time around 3pm)
Cost: $125 for Lake Kandle Employees
Guard must bring proof of expiring CPR/Lifeguard certification.
Please register in person an hour prior to start time.

Waterfront Certification: STAFF ONLY

DATES (only need to attend one):

May 19th, 2023 4pm-6pm (estimated end time)

May 21st, 2023 9am-11am (estimated end time)

Time: Registration one hour prior start time, Cost: $125 (cash, check, or credit) payment collected at registration.

Availability: All guards that register will have the opportunity to complete the training. There is no class size limit, just make sure that the guards come on time to register, an hour prior to the start of the course. 

What the guards must bring: Proof that they have a current lifeguard certification or are in the process of passing the course. (waterfront is an add-on and is only valid if the lifeguard has passed their general certification). Full contact info (email, home address, phone number, full legal name)
