Facility Rules
SWIMMING NOT PERMITTED UNLESS A LIFEGUARD IS ON DUTY.
CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 12 SHOULD BE SUPERVISED WITHIN ARMS REACH WHEN IN OR AROUND THE WATER.
PARENTS MUST PROVIDE DIRECT ADULT SUPERVISION FOR THEIR CHILDREN. LIFEGUARDS ARE NOT BABYSITTERS.
POSSESSING OR BEING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF RECREATIONAL DRUGS OR INTOXICATING SUBSTANCES IS PROHIBITED. SMOKING AND VAPING ARE PROHIBITED EXCEPT IN MARKED DESIGNATED AREAS.
OBSERVE ALL POSTED SIGNAGE AND OBEY THE STAFF WHEN THEY ENFORCE RULES.
FAILURE OF A STAFF MEMBER TO INSIST UPON COMPLIANCE WITH A RULE SHALL NOT CONSTITUTE A WAIVER FROM OBEYING A RULE. THE RULES MUST BE OBEYED.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH RULES CAN RESULT IN SUSPENSION OR LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP WITHOUT REFUND.
Code of Conduct
Lake Kandle is a family oriented facility and must provide a safe work environment for their employees. No member of staff should be required or feel obliged to deal with any patron either face to face, over the phone or in correspondence, who is exhibiting threatening, abusive or violent behavior. Such behavior is defined as, but not limited to threats of violence to members of staff, sexist, racist or homophobic remarks, intimidating language, screaming, swearing and/or aggressive body language.
Lake Rules
Any person showing evidence of any communicable skin disease, sore or inflamed eyes, cold, nasal or ear discharges, or any other communicable disease shall be denied admission.
Any person with excessive sunburn, open blisters, cuts, or bandages shall be denied admission.
Do not enter the water if you are experiencing or recovering from diarrhea or have had any signs or symptoms of a gastrointestinal (stomach) disease in the past seven days.
All children in diapers must wear diapers specially designed for immersion in water (such as swimming diapers). Do not wash out soiled diapers in the bathing water.
Children should be encouraged to use the restroom before entering the water. Immediately report any “accidents” you observe in the bathing waters to a lifeguard.
No animals, except for service animals, shall be allowed on the beach, or in the lake.
Glass containers shall be prohibited in food and drink areas.
All persons shall shower before entering the water.
Conduct which endangers the safety and comfort of others shall be prohibited. No throwing sand or rocks!
Outdoor bathing shall be prohibited during an electrical storm.
Persons suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol shall be prohibited from entering the water.
Children under the age of 12 should be supervised within arm’s length by parent or adult caretaker in or around the water.
There shall be no swimming beneath the docks or diving boards.
There shall be only one person at a time on the rope swing and diving boards.
There shall be no running on the docks or engagement any type of activity that endangers the comfort or well being of others.
There shall be no swimming outside the designated swim area.
Inner tubes, rafts, and other flotation devices are not permitted in the deep water or near the docks. Therefore, if your child cannot swim, they cannot be in deep water. Floats large enough for more than two adults are prohibited.
Lifeguards are not babysitters. Parents are responsible for the safety of their children.
Stand up paddle boards are not permitted on the lake. Oars are not permitted in the swimming area.
Management reserves the right to change or modify the rules at any time. Management reserves the right to modify hours of operation based upon staffing limitations, weather conditions, beach or dock maintenance, or low attendance.
Boat Rules
Personal boats are not permitted without a boat space rental agreement. Ask office employee for details.
All passengers must wear a life jacket and remain seated. Rental boaters may only exit the boat at the boat rental dock.
There is no jumping or swimming from boats. Boats are not permitted in the swimming area.
Rental Boats must remain within sight of the office.
ALL boats must keep a safe distance from the spillway and maintain at least one boat length from other boats.
Boats are not permitted within the designated swimming area.
Lake Kandle is not responsible for the theft, loss, or damage to personal items. Make sure personal items are secured.
In the event of a storm, please dock the boat immediately and find insulated cover in a car or building.
Boaters are responsible for any damages made to Lake Kandle property.
Outdoor Recreation Rules
Observe all state and federal laws concerning barbecuing, fishing, and biking.
Lake Kandle does not permit skateboarding, rollerblading, unregistered motorized vehicles (mopeds, atvs, powerwheels), or any other disruptive accessory. NO DRONES!
In the event of a thunderstorm, please return to your vehicle. Trees, pavilions, tents, and other open air shelters are not safe places of refuge.
Please be courteous to others and use designated open areas for sport and recreational activity.
Water balloons are prohibited.
Use proper receptacles for trash, recyclables, and refuse.
Please smoke or vape only in designated smoking areas with cigarette disposal bins (end of picnic grove & pool parking lots).

Parents are responsible for the actions and safety of their children. Lifeguards are not babysitters.
NO DIVING! There shall be no shoving or throwing of anyone into the pool. No stunt entries.
Swimmers shall leave the water immediately when told to do so by the guards, especially at closing time and during emergencies.
Management reserves the right to change the rules and regulations and evict for infractions.
Management reserves the right to close due to inclement weather, pool maintenance, or lack of staff availability.
Management assumes no responsibility for loss by fire, theft, accidents, etc.
Only employees are permitted in the pool houses. Please report any unattended tools or chemical containers to the staff.
Pool Float Policies
Small inner tubes and swimmies are permitted in the Zero Entry and 3 1/2 foot section of the competition pool as long as the child is within an ARM’S REACH of the parent or ADULT guardian. Please check pool house signage for examples of acceptable floatation devices. Inflatables are not to be left overnight in public areas. Inflatables left overnight will be considered refuse.
Pool Toy Policies
Balls and the projectiles are not permitted in the Competition Pool. Soft and or squishy balls are permitted in the Zero Entry Pool as long as they are not posing a danger or disruption to another patron. Enforcement shall be at the discretion of the staff members.
RULES FOR CHILDREN/ INFANTS REQUIRING SWIM DIAPERS
CHILDREN AND INFANTS REQUIRING SWIMMING DIAPERS MAY NOT BATH IN THE COMPETITION POOL.
SWIMMING DIAPERS ARE PERMITTED AND REQUIRED FOR NON POTTY TRAINED INFANTS AND CHILDREN IN THE LAKE AND ZERO ENTRY THEMED POOL. Do not wash out soiled diapers in the lake or pool.

Missing Child
Report a missing child to a staff member immediately! Do not attempt to search for them yourself.
In the event of a missing child, the pools and lake will be evacuated to begin a search and rescue operation. Road exits will be blocked to prevent abduction.
Please cooperate with search procedure as instructed by lifeguards and management. You would want the same for your child!
